The cheapest way to visit the Sagrada Família is the official basic ticket for €26, bought online on sagradafamilia.org for a fixed time slot. A guided tour costs €30 officially and from €44–54 on Tiqets and Viator, so book through a reseller only if the official slots you want are gone or you want a smaller-group tour with hotel-friendly times.
Below are the official ticket types, what the big platforms charge for the same visit, and how to choose. All prices were checked on 18 October 2026.
On our check date the official ticket page still showed a notice about a temporary closure. The basilica closed on 3–4 October 2026 for weather and a religious anniversary. Before you travel, open the official site and confirm your date is available.

The cheapest reseller entry ticket is €8 more than the official basic ticket. For guided tours, the official €30 guided ticket is also cheaper than the €44–54 tours on Tiqets and Viator. What resellers add is availability and flexibility: more time slots, small groups, sometimes free cancellation up to 24 hours before. If you plan far ahead, the official site is the better deal.
Which ticket should you buy?
- On a budget, booking early: the official basic ticket at €26. The app audio guide is good enough for most visitors.
- You want the story behind the building: the official guided ticket at €30, if your date is available. Otherwise a guided tour from a reseller.
- You want views: add a tower for €10 on the official site. The GetYourGuide tour with tower access costs €99, so it only makes sense if official tower slots are sold out.
- Last-minute trip: check the official site first. If your dates are gone, reseller tours often still have places because they buy blocks of slots.
Pros
- Official tickets are the cheapest option for every ticket type
- Reseller tours often have slots when official dates are gone
- Small-group guided tours are available in several languages
Cons
- Reseller entry tickets cost €8 more for the same visit
- Tower access can close in bad weather
- Timed entry: arriving late can cost you your slot
Tips for your visit
- Arrive 15 minutes before your time slot and bring the ticket on your phone.
- The basilica is a working church. Shoulders and knees should be covered.
- The official opening hours change by season. In October it opens at 9:00 on weekdays and 10:30 on Sundays.
- Combine it with Park Güell: both need timed tickets, so book them on the same day with at least two hours between slots.
Other Gaudí sights in Barcelona
If you have more time, two Gaudí houses on Passeig de Gràcia are worth combining with the basilica. Unlike the Sagrada Família, their basic tickets cost the same on the official sites and on resellers.
Casa Batlló sells a general visit from €29 online. Its official site says booking online in advance saves up to €15 compared with the ticket office, and children up to 12 enter free. The visit takes about 75 minutes, and night visits with music on the roof terrace are also available.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a Sagrada Família ticket?
On the official website a basic adult ticket with the app audio guide costs €26. With an official guide it is €30, with tower access €36, and with both a guide and a tower €40. Prices were checked on 18 October 2026.
Is it cheaper to buy Sagrada Família tickets on the official website?
Yes, for a plain entry ticket. The official basic ticket is €26, while the cheapest reseller entry ticket we found was €34 on GetYourGuide. Resellers make sense when you want a guided tour in a small group or the official slots are gone.
Can I buy Sagrada Família tickets at the door?
Entry is by timed ticket, and the official site sells tickets online for a specific date and time. In busy months the good slots go well in advance, so buy online before you travel rather than counting on the ticket office.
Are tower tickets worth it?
A tower visit costs €10 more than the basic ticket on the official site. It gives views over Barcelona from one of the towers. Towers can close in bad weather, so check the conditions on the official ticket before you book.
What are the Sagrada Família opening hours in October 2026?
In October the basilica opens Monday to Friday 9:00 to 19:00, Saturday 9:00 to 18:00 and Sunday 10:30 to 19:00. Hours change by season and for religious events, so check the official opening hours page for your date.
